IT/Networking & Security Mgmt (Associate's)

The security of computer networks will continue to increase in importance as more business is conducted over the Internet. The security of the Nations entire electronic infrastructure has come under renewed focus in light of recent threats. Organizations need to understand how their systems are vulnerable and how to protect their infrastructure and Internet sites from hackers, viruses, and other acts of cyber-terrorism. Student must be eligible for security clearances at the highest level.

The Information Technology/Networking & Security Management major provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for graduates to acquire entry-level training-related employment as a network security specialist in a variety of settings including:
*Technical support and organization help desks
*Management information systems departments
*Internet service providers
*Web service providers
*Information technology solution providers
