Public Administration (Master's)

This degree program is closely related to Strayer University's mission of serving students "who seek a business-oriented education" and providing students a professional education. The Master of Public Administration program responds to the needs of current students and employers who are interested in a degree program that prepares students for leadership positions in public service and related organizations that utilize analytical, conceptual and practical competencies.

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) is the professional degree for people who want to enter public service at the management level. The academic focus is on developing analytical, conceptual and practical competencies that are common to Strayer University's Master of Business Administration degree, but emphasizing the "public" perspective of administration. The program is designed to meet the graduate education needs of working professionals who wish to advance their careers as well as business professionals such as contractors and consultants who perform a major part of their jobs working in a government environment.
